mira, thanks for keeping me in your artistic loop. these images are great! your blanket photo collage (?) that you showed at haystack eons ago still pops up in my mind. hope this exhibiton goes well and i look forward to seeing more work. props to narine, too. ronan
Thanks so much for taking the time to write, Ronan. That is so sweet that you remembered that piece. Do you keep in touch with Gay Smith who bought that piece? Hope all is well in the studio there! all the best, mira
Every so often I find myself captivated by something. It could be an image, photograph, song or painting. It might be a paragraph in a Balzac novel that captures human intimacy so perfectly. Or an old Springsteen song that leaves one wondering how a nineteen year old songwriter could create such beauty and depth so young. Recenty, a 17 century world map called “fool’s cap world” found within a standard book of world maps began a feverish quest to locate a print to frame. These are rare moments . Somehow, each and every Economist creation has left me with that familiar feeling of excitement at discovering something so special. I am looking forward to visiting the exhibit once in town after the holidays. Pete
Pete!!!! so nice of you to share! I really appreciate your words, thoughts, references – especially the 17th century fool’s cap world map. travel well, mira
